IMTC WORLD 2014
Eden Roc Hotel
9:00 am – 5:00 pm
October 6th, 2014
Digital currencies like bitcoin and other alternative payment systems are slowly moving from the shadows and even if the size of the market is small now, the potential that it has is enormous. Even if Bitcoin for some reason doesn’t make it, the idea of a technology-driven cost-efficient digital money system will become a reality in a not so distant future. Regulation will catch up soon. Compliance will be very similar and KYC will be even easier than is today. That is why we at IMTC think that it is important to learn, to listen, to analyze and to partner with the newcomers to find better ways to move forward as an industry.
The momentum of cost-efficient digital currencies threatens to disrupt the money transfer and payments processing industry that is full of friction points, from cash processing, agent handling, liquidity to bank access, to name a few. Even if you are not a believer but you are open minded, this course is for you.
Your Course Registration to VCAP – our Virtual Currencies and Alternative Payments Certification Course includes a one day intensive course on the emerging P2P (Person-to-Person – Peer-to-Peer) money transfer & remittance systems based on the new protocols that virtual currency (digital/math-based/cryptocurrencies) are bringing to the payment world, with experts from companies and start-ups that are challenging traditional payment methods.
The course will have a simple format, sessions followed by breaks: at mid-morning, attendees will enjoy a coffee break, at mid-day Lunch will be offered, then a mid-afternoon another coffee break. In this afternoon break students can visit IMTC’s Trade Fair and at the end of the course you should join us for the Welcome Reception for great networking (with drinks, hors d’oeuvres and entertainment). The course will be in English only. Upon completion of the course and the successful passing of an online test, participants will be awarded IMTC’s VCAP Course Certificate.
