At 1pm tomorrow Digital Currency Council founder and CEO, David Berger will take off from Newark Liberty International Airport on his way to Silicon Valley. There, he and his entire core team will spend the next four months running through a rigorous gauntlet of business exercises in the prestigious 500 Startupsaccelerator.
But it’s not just the team that’s putting skin in the game for this rare opportunity to join the incubator’s growing contingent of bitcoin startups.
“This will be my four-month old baby’s first visit to California and she’s looking forward to it,” said Berger during a phone conversation yesterday, occasionally punctuated by the baby’s cries. “It’s an exciting inflection point, not just in our business, but as entrepreneurs, and in our lives.”
