David: Brennen, Thanks your sharing your insights with us today. Could you share how you got involved with Bitcoin? How did you first hear about it?

Brennen: I’ve been reading about and following Bitcoin from pretty early on. I had a few friends who were mining and talking about it a lot. But it wasn’t until 2013 that I really started digging deep into how Bitcoin worked and where it was heading. I read a post on the Priceonomics Blog that went into the Byzantine Generals problem and did a great job explaining the blockchain. That’s what started me down the rabbit hole.

Steven: Our goal is to train people who want to be full-time Bitcoin Consultants. Our emphasis is “one-on-one” training geared towards bitcoin wallet security and wealth preservation.

Sarah: Tell us about how and why you, Jean-Marie, got involved in Bitcoin and digital currencies.

Jean-Marie: Global Advisors has always been considered by investors, service providers and competitors as a special hedge fund. Over the years, the manager always kept an agile and lean configuration allowing to seize opportunities as it thinks fitted without the usual political conundrum. We were one of the first commodity managers back in the late 90s, one of the first managers algorithmic trading systems before CTA became fashionable. Such an innovation capacity is part of the firm DNA. Hence, getting involved with bitcoin either from a technology or a trading point of view was a very natural evolution for us.

Dan: Can you tell us a little about how and why you got involved in Bitcoin?

Marshall: I had a number of different friends whisper to me in 2010 about this new currency they’ve been buying that was going up in price. That’s the first I heard of it, and I started to keep tabs after it showed staying power. I got involved in Bitcoin after reading the whitepaper, and seeing how much traction it had maintained over time, developing a loyal following. I knew it was too mature to be a fad. The technology looked more and more promising as well.
